The older I get the more I realize just how common talent is in the world. Knowing that doesn't make talent any less impressive, just that it makes you appreciate how rare opportunity is.
i really dislike media that makes me go "did... did a writer write this?" (i.e. writer protagonist, ~the power of stories~, coming-of-age movie where someone wants to become a writer, struggling novelist returns to backwater home, that kind of thing)
and it's so pervasive!

For now, I'm getting back into the busy work - all six of them have a lot of extremely interesting stories to tell and artistic and/or technical prowess(e, tihi) to show off, and my pleasure and despair will be to somehow press it into a presentable, yet relatable format. We have been cooking this for a long time: we are over the moon to announce our exhibition PROW:ESSE, presenting the work of six highly talented demosceners in a completely new way.
We asked 1,000+ attendees to mask indoors this weekend, and everyone just did. I didn’t have to stop and remind a single person the entire 3 days.
There were definitely gaps in the policy, the risk wasn’t reduced to zero, but if anyone is wondering if it’s possible for events and large gatherings to make reasonable accommodations to reduce the risk of spreading COVID, it absolutely is, we proved it, and your event should be doing it too.
Also wow this blew up and there are a lot of weirdos in my mentions being weird! If you have a bad Opinion about any of this I don't care maybe screw off??
i really wish the map at whentaken.com would work, but it's so broken that i can't play. why even use apple maps in the first place?! anyway, i can't do anything about it, so no more whentaken for me :(
Hot take: public transit should not be run "for profit". The profit comes from everybody getting to their destination quickly, efficiently, and predictably.
